Every journey begins with a focused planning conversation. We take the time to understand your destination interests, priorities, travel style, timing, budget, and the details that matter most to you. From there, we evaluate the right options, shape a clear planning direction, and begin building a journey that is both well considered and aligned with how you want to travel.

For travel with an established supplier itinerary, such as cruises and guided tours, a planning fee is generally not required. Fully customized journeys begin with a $500 design and planning fee for up to four travelers. This fee reflects the professional expertise, research, itinerary development, supplier coordination, and time involved in creating a highly personalized journey. Planning fees for larger parties, extended journeys, multi-country itineraries, villas, celebrations, and travel requiring more complex arrangements may vary based on the scope of the trip and will always be discussed before planning begins. Planning fees are separate from the cost of travel and are non-refundable once the planning process has begun.

For fully customized international journeys, we recommend planning for approximately $4,500–$6,500 per person for Premium travel, $6,500–$14,000 per person for Luxury travel, and $14,500+ per person for Ultra-Luxury experiences, based on double occupancy.

Depending on the destination, season, accommodations, private access, and experience level, Ultra-Luxury journeys can exceed $20,000 per person. These ranges generally allow for thoughtfully selected accommodations, in-destination or domestic flights where applicable, curated tours and experiences, private transfers, and in-destination support. Final pricing varies based on trip length, destination, season, accommodation style, and the level of personalization requested.

No. Genesis Travel Collective does not offer standalone airfare booking or ticketing for domestic or international flights. When airfare is available as part of a vacation package, cruise, tour, or other qualifying travel arrangement, we may include it as part of the overall journey. For airfare-only reservations, we recommend booking directly with the airline. This generally provides travelers with the most direct access to the airline for schedule changes, cancellations, travel credits, seat assignments, and other time-sensitive matters that may arise before or during travel.

Travel insurance is optional, but we strongly encourage our clients to consider coverage, especially for international travel. A comprehensive policy can help protect your travel investment against certain unexpected events, including trip cancellations or interruptions, medical emergencies, delays, and other covered circumstances.

For international custom journeys, we recommend beginning the planning process approximately 9–12 months in advance. This is especially important for peak travel seasons, highly sought-after hotels and villas, and complex multi-destination itineraries. For cruises, we recommend securing your preferred sailing and accommodations at least six months in advance, and often earlier for high-demand departures. Booking early does not necessarily mean missing a better fare later. As part of the Genesis difference, we monitor eligible cruise reservations for price reductions and new promotions and, when the cruise line's terms allow, work to have those savings or added value applied to your booking.

We can begin with what you already have in mind, confirm that it’s the right fit, and look for ways to strengthen the overall value of the trip. In some cases, we may suggest a comparable or even better hotel, cruise line, sailing, or travel partner offering a similar experience with stronger amenities, better inclusions, or a more favorable overall value. Our goal is not to change what you want, but to make sure you are getting the best-fit experience for your priorities and investment.
